Hello there, My name is Mrs. Nolan (Ashly Nolan) and I will be your child's kindergarten teacher this year. This website will be one of the many outlets you can look to for information about what's going on in our classroom throughout the school year. Here's a bit about me... Teaching has always been my passion. From the second I stepped foot into a classroom, I knew it’s where I was meant to be. In 2008, I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After graduation, I taught ballet to kindergarten aged students at the Joanne Langione Dance Center in Newton. In 2011, I began my teaching career in Waltham as a pre-kindergarten paraprofessional in an Intensive Special Needs classroom. In 2013, I moved into a Grade 1 Inclusion classroom and earned my masters degree shortly thereafter from Lesley University in Early Childhood Education. Over the summer of 2014, I was given the amazing opportunity to join the Stratton team as a kindergarten teacher and that's how I got where I am. This will be my eleventh year in Arlington and I am beyond thrilled to begin another year! Currently, I am in a two year teacher leadership program at Brandeis University where I’m working to obtain my CAGS and principal licensure.
When I am not in school, I enjoy spending time with my husband Mark, and my six year old daughter Brielle. I love dancing, at home workouts, anything Disney, listening to music, and going to farmers' markets.
I am so excited to continue my work in the Arlington community and I look forward to spending the year with you! I would love to hear from you over the summer so send me an email at [email protected]. With love, Mrs. Nolan
