PRIDE in our students, PRIDE in our school, PRIDE in our community! Stratton PRIDE is a community-building and independence-promoting enrichment program. Throughout the year, the entire school gathers for PRIDE assemblies and through presentations and activities, the Stratton PRIDE program reinforces and supports our school wide rules:
Be Safe
Be Kind
Be Respectful
Persevere
The main goals of the PRIDE program are:
To create a common language across grade levels
The provide a discussion forum for relevant issues
To create a classroom and school community of respect and inclusion
To learn problem-solving skills to apply inside and outside of the classroom
Topics discussed at PRIDE assemblies include respect for oneself and others, the importance of trying one’s best, and other issues that strengthen the sense of community and individual responsibility. Ask your kindergartner how they can show PRIDE!
